Is Netanyahu comparable to Hitler in contemporary times?

An answer from a person of Jewish descent:

“Currently, yes. I want to make it known that I am of Jewish descent. Netanyahu has confined all Palestinians to a cramped space resembling an airport terminal. He has dehumanized them for years, showing no regard for innocent lives, with his military disproportionately killing Palestinians compared to Israelis. Rather than seeking peace, he has persistently demolished Palestinian homes over decades, persuading Israelis that this stateless people, lacking an air force or navy, pose an existential threat to their heavily fortified apartheid state, supported by billions from the US. There was a time when Palestinians and Jews coexisted peacefully, but the continual seizure of their land and autonomy has driven them to violence, a narrative Netanyahu propagates, blaming their identity and beliefs. He is Hitler incarnate.”

By presenting himself as a Jew, Netanyahu is often viewed with irony as an anti-Christ figure, albeit sarcastically. He’s likened to a “New Improved Hitler 2.0,” embodying evil and deceit in his political endeavors. His tactics include provoking conflict with Hamas to divert attention from legal issues. With a record of ordering the deaths of thousands of Palestinians predominantly innocent children, his actions align him with the most notorious figures in history. Additionally, his strategy of dropping bombs that have unleashed more than 65,000 tons of explosives on the Gaza Strip, delivering a firepower exceeding three times that of the U.S. nuclear bomb that devastated Hiroshima in Japan. Sending thousands of bombs daily into Gaza under the pretext of rescuing hostages still trapped there is not a prudent strategy. Netanyahu has consistently demonstrated a lack of concern for the hostages. It’s reasonable to suspect that many have already perished due to potential friendly fire incidents and lack of food and medicine.

Hitler would envy the ruthlessness with which Netanyahu and his cohorts have treated the Palestinian population. He would likely instruct his generals and advisors to learn from their tactics. The ability to dehumanize people and still garner international support is quite an astounding feat. That’s some trick!

What’s most remarkable to me is the parallel influence of the United States in shaping both Hitler’s rise to power and the existence of Israel. The Great Depression, originating from Wall Street, paved the way for Hitler’s ascent. Similarly, Israel owes its existence largely to US support. While Hitler himself wasn’t elected in Germany, many members of his Nazi party were elected to the Reichstag. Hitler’s appointment as chancellor by von Hindenburg eventually led to his dictatorship after von Hindenburg’s death.

German industrialists and weapons producers found favor with Hitler, as he provided ample opportunities for work. Likewise, American weapons producers benefit greatly from Israel, which provides them with significant contracts. In a sense, both Nazi Germany and Israel can be seen as byproducts of capitalist weapons industries.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence suggests that approximately 50% of Israel’s 30,000 air-to-ground munitions used on Gaza so far are unguided, while the rest are precision-guided. It has also been documented Israel’s deployment of nine internationally prohibited bombs and missiles against civilians, including children and women. These include bunker-busting bombs such as BLU-113 and BLU-109, as well as SDBS and the American GBU-28, all guided by GPS for infrastructure destruction. Additionally, they utilize white phosphorus, and smart bombs. The immediate and lasting impacts of these bombings, causing mass casualties, injuries, and long-term disabilities among victims, alongside environmental hazards from toxic radiation release.

“Live by the sword die by the sword”. For tyrants and oppressors, the saying often fails to hold true. Instead of facing retribution for their actions, they often meet their end through natural causes or the passage of time. While justice may seem elusive, there are instances, like Saddam Hussein, Nicolae Ceaușescu, Benito Mussolini, and other despots where accountability catches up and were executed for their crimes against humanity. A similar reckoning for Netanyahu would be a step towards justice.
