THE ISRAEL-PALESTINE SITUATION BOILS DOWN TO ENDORSING COLONIAL EXPANSION & GENOCIDE

Israel’s actions in Gaza have led to a catastrophic situation. The normalization of such horrific events on an unprecedented scale is staggering and difficult for many to comprehend. Moreover, these actions have not benefited Israel; in fact, they have had detrimental consequences, as predicted by many analysts early in the conflict.
The war has left Israel internationally isolated, bolstered support for Hamas, sparked skirmishes in the Middle East involving Iran-backed militias and NATO troops, and exposed the significant hypocrisy of the U.S. regarding the enforcement of international law and rules of war, among other ramifications.
The current hegemony centered around the U.S. is actively supporting a clear instance of GENOCIDE and contemplating the extradition and imprisonment of foreign journalists who expose its acts of war, all the while hypocritically lecturing the global south on human rights. Many criticize the U.S. military extensively because it stands as the most profoundly destructive force on Earth, posing significant harm to humanity overall.
When you’re determined to push through a radical geopolitical agenda at any cost, even if it means resorting to violence and bloodshed, you’re bound to see widespread devastation. This is evident in both the pursuit of U.S. global dominance and the insistence on maintaining a Jewish ethnostate.
The U.S. and Israel have actively worked to escalate tensions in the Middle East, while leaders in Iran and Hezbollah have consistently sought to prevent a wider conflict. The aggressor is glaringly evident. However, the dynamics have shifted. Israel persistently provokes Iran, anticipating a defensive response while relying on U.S. support. With Israel’s brazen bombing of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, violating international conventions and both Syrian and Iranian sovereignty, Iran is justified in defending itself. There’s no turning back now. As an African proverb goes, “He whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad.” Iran isn’t an ordinary adversary; they’ll risk extinction to ensure mutual destruction. The Iron Dome won’t shield Israel indefinitely.
Today’s drone attack launched by Iran against Israel serves primarily as a trial of Israel’s air defense capabilities. Undoubtedly, Palestinians are celebrating, relieved to witness missiles not directed at them for the first time in six months. It’s understandable they find solace in this moment of calm. Who wouldn’t?
Furthermore, despite displacing a significant portion of Gaza’s population, including many multiple times, Israel has only succeeded in eliminating around 40% of Hamas opposing forces in Gaza and beyond. How many more thousands have joined their ranks as a result. This conflict has radicalized Palestinians and observers alike, especially those who already harbor opposition towards the West and the U.S. Correspondingly, public opinion is now widely against Israel. I wonder if there is one country left in the Global South that would see Israel as an ally at this present moment.
Billions worldwide may not have direct ties to the Palestinians, yet their common humanity compels them to never remain silent in the face of the ongoing genocide characterized by relentless bombings of children and civilians, preceded by the deprivation of basic necessities such as food, water, medicine, and fuel, along with obstructing humanitarian aid.
No matter what anyone thinks the reality is Hamas will never be destroyed. You cannot destroy an ideology. Hamas believes that the message of Islam upholds the values of truth, justice, freedom and dignity and prohibits all forms of injustice and incriminates oppressors irrespective of their religion, race, gender or nationality.
Israel is entirely delusional for the same reason that the U.S. and other countries have been unable to eliminate groups like ISIS, the Taliban, Al-Qaeda, and Boko Haram — they’re deeply entrenched and persistent.
In closing probably the only time I’ll agree with Donald Trump’s message on his Truth Social network, “We are on the brink of World War 3.” According to Simon Tisdall at The Guardian, a clash between the U.S. and Iran could lead to a permanent division among Western democracies. Some, like the U.K., might support Washington, while others may prioritize diplomatic engagement with Tehran.
Tisdall also warns of cascading consequences: it could exacerbate Israel’s conflict in Gaza, provoke Hezbollah’s retaliation against Israel, destabilize allied regimes in Egypt, Jordan, and the Gulf, escalate violence in Iraq and Syria, embolden China in its anti-democratic pursuits, and provide Russia with justification for its actions in Ukraine. More than likely Tehran might escalate tensions with the U.S. through its nuclear program.
It appears that the world is inching towards WW3.
